At the beginning and end of the school day, parents are to wait with their children at the school gate until it is opened by a member of staff where children are then able to come into school. If normal arrangements have to be altered (e.g. you are delayed or another person is collecting your child) please let us know. This avoids any confusion or upset.
To get to and from school, walking is definitely the best option! There are lots of benefits: it’s healthier than travelling by car, it improves the safety of pedestrians and road-users, and it respects nearby residents and parking regulations. Alternatively, we have bike racks; please ensure your child wears a bike helmet. If you do need to travel by car, please park in a nearby car park, as there is only enough room for members of staff and official visitors in the school car park.
Children in Class 1 and 2 may have an afternoon playtime at their teachers’ discretion.
There is no afternoon play for KS2 children (Y3-6).
