PSHE & Values.

PSHE education helps children and young people to stay safe, healthy and prepared for life's challenges and opportunities.

At Marden Primary Academy, we aim to provide young people with the knowledge, understanding, attitudes and practical skills to live healthily, safely, productively and responsibly. We encourage all our pupils to play a positive role in contributing to school life and the wider community through our school council, fundraising events, supporting both local and national charities and involvement in community activities e.g. singing at the over 60s carol concert, delivering food parcels around the village at Harvest time.

Values education is embedded through-out our school and the themes for our assemblies develop confidence, self-motivation, and an understanding of their rights and responsibilities within society, so that they feel safe and can manage their lives today and in the future.

PSHE (Personal, Social and Health Education) and SEAL (Social and Emotional Aspects of Learning) are taught through lessons, assemblies and through other subjects, as well as through educational visits and visits from external agencies such as Childline and Herefordshire Council Road Safety Department.
